Property Manager
James Wilson is a specialist in land acquisition, assemblage and in the processing of Vesting Tentative and Final Maps. His duties include participation in the expansion of the DEI‘s asset base, in-house and private sector investment formations, broker and consulting services and, among others, increasing the value of unentitled residential, retail, office and R&D lands by obtaining entitlements and thereafter reselling the vested lands, at a fair profit, to national and regional corporate developers, investors and build-to-suit mixed- and single purpose users.
James’ past work experience included a leadership role as a Senior Buyer/Planner in the medical device, computer hardware, and Ethernet network industries. He managed suppliers domestically and internationally with responsibility for general business operations, new product development, the maintenance and betterment of supplier relations, price settings and negotiations, marketing and overall short and long term planning. James participated in global supplier quality audits and, as a member of the Lean Operation Concept Team, implemented processes and procedures that streamlined communication and improved efficiency. His well-rounded background has proved to be well suited to the success and continued expansion of DEI.
James earned a B.S. in Business (Marketing) from Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College. He is currently a volunteer for OneChild, an organization that promotes self-esteem in underprivileged children, a former member of the Masonic Lodge, and church treasurer for Grace United Methodist Church.
