Louis Heystek provides strategic support in the areas of financial reporting, property management and company marketing.
Since joining Dutra Enterprises, Inc. in 2006, Louis has been instrumental in leasing and management of all company assets, facilitate negotiations and development of all in-house purchase and sale agreements, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of tenant improvements new construction projects. Louis manages over 200,000 square feet of commercial and industrial property and administers more than 35 tenant leases. In 11 years, he has been involved in the acquisition, leasing, maintenance and sale of all company entitlement projects, including Eden Commons, Eden Pointe, Terreno Ventures Groups’ Alder residential development, Eden III (Camden Place), and currently Mission Palms Commercial Center.
At age 19, Louis was elected to the Board of Education in 1998, becoming the youngest ever to hold elected public office in San Leandro. After being reelected to a second term, he was unanimously elected School Board President, leading the K-12 educational system of over 8,500 students and helping to manage a budget of over $60 million.
Louis earned a B.A. in Political Science with a Minor in Dutch Studies from the University of California at Berkeley, and, while studying at Cal, graduated with an A.A. in Radio & Television Broadcasting from Chabot College in Hayward.
